The Brit Youth Theatre run musical theatre after school clubs in London. During our sessions the children sing, act, dance and work towards performing a book musical. After three terms the students perform the show at a local theatre. Our production for summer 2020 is Fame The Musical Jnr. The children's experience in the theatre, their dedication and hard work preparing for the production helps the children to gain confidence and gives them a huge sense of achievement.
The Brit Youth Theatre is run by Michelle Connolly and Stephen Paget. Michelle trained in Musical Theatre at Mountview Conservatoire for the performing arts and Stephen trained at Art Educational London. Both have worked in musical theatre and television. Stephen most recently was in the West End cast of Billy Elliot and Michelle played Liz Cotton in Eastenders. They have been running the Brit Youth Theatre, as a weekend stage school for over 14 years and have been running after schools clubs for two years.
Our mission is for our students to experience the thrill of live performance in a theatre environment. We sing we act we dance but we are so much more! Our students experience team work and gain a sense of achievement, whilst developing confidence and self belief. We feel passionate that children who enjoy performing get to experience live theatre just as children who enjoy football experience a football pitch.
What an amazing show ! - it really was fantastic and of such a high standard. The children and audience were totally enthused and delighted and you could see such passion and enjoyment in the children's faces. We were all so impressed. I am sure you all worked so hard. I think you also made many children and parents realise that the children are able to do things they had not believed before. Well done and a very big thank you!
The work you and your team do is so appreciated! . Thank you once again.

I just want to say a huge thank you for your hard work with our children to produce such a wonderful production as we saw last night. It is absolutely amazing how all these children shone in their parts. I can honestly say that out of all the after school clubs over the years, this has been by far the most rewarding. It is so good to see such outstanding results at the end of the school year. Thank you both and Abbey so much!
Thank you for everything you have done for Andrew. He has loved being in the theatre, and you have done wonders for his confidence and self esteem.
